Botify is very good at one hard job: showing you how bots crawl a site with millions of URLs, then pushing fixes without waiting on developers. Few tools do that as well.
The trouble is the bill and the fit. Vendr puts the median Botify contract at about $74,200 a year, priced mostly by URL count and log volume. Reviewers on G2 and Capterra keep coming back to the learning curve and the cost. And if your boss now cares more about ChatGPT answers than crawl budget, you may be paying for a crawler when what you need is AI search data.
So you're probably after one of three things: a cheaper crawler, an enterprise suite with wider AI coverage, or a lighter tool that tracks AI search and helps you act on it. Here are the Botify alternatives worth a look for each. Checked September 2026.
Before you read on: we make Orchly, and it's first on this list. We've used most of these tools ourselves, a few notes come from customers who moved to us from them, and the rest comes from G2 and other public reviews. You'll find strengths and weak spots for every tool, Orchly included.

1. Orchly: best Botify alternative to track AI search, Google and site health for a fraction of the cost
Orchly is an AI search optimization platform. It tracks how your brand shows up in AI answers and on Google, watches AI crawlers on your site, and gives you agents that write content, run outreach and flag site fixes.
Let's be clear up front. Orchly is not a full Botify replacement. It won't crawl millions of URLs, and it doesn't do server log file analysis. If crawl budget on a giant catalog is your main problem, keep a real crawler.
What Orchly covers is the part many Botify users are now asked about: AI visibility, AI bot traffic, Google performance and a prioritized list of page issues, starting at $49 a month.
Site health and AI crawlers
- Site Health Agent. Audits your pages for technical SEO and AI search issues, ranks them by priority and suggests a fix for each. Essential covers 100 pages and Pro covers 300.
- AI traffic analytics. On Pro, see AI crawler visits from GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and others next to human referral visits from AI, by platform, page and country. It connects through your hosting or CDN, such as Cloudflare, Vercel or WordPress.
- Page scores. Each tracked page gets SEO, AEO and GEO scores, and Page 360 puts its Search Console, GA4 and AI visibility data in one view.
AI search visibility from real answers
- Captured from the real interfaces. Orchly pulls answers from the actual ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews interfaces every day, not a cheaper model API. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude and Grok are add-ons.
- Scores you can report on. AI Visibility Score, share of voice, sentiment, average position and a competitor leaderboard.
- Citations and gaps. See every page AI cites, and use Mention Gap to find cited pages that name competitors but not you. You can also see the query fan-outs AI engines run before they answer.
- Fact check. Orchly compares AI answers with your approved facts in Brand Brain and marks claims as supported or contradicted.
Google data and agents that act on it
- Rank tracking plus Search Console and GA4. Daily keyword ranks by country and device, with clicks, conversions and revenue in one dashboard.
- Content Agent. Turns lost prompts and decaying Search Console pages into new articles and refreshes, drafts them in your brand voice and publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Sanity or Ghost after you approve.
- Activation Agent. Finds the sites, Reddit threads and YouTube videos AI cites, drafts outreach and sends it from your Gmail, Zoho or SMTP inbox.
Setup takes about ten minutes, since Orchly reads your site and suggests topics, prompts and competitors. There's more on how the agents work if you want the detail.
Where Orchly falls short
- Not an enterprise crawler or log analyzer. It has no server log file analysis and no million-URL crawls, rendering or edge deployment like SpeedWorkers and PageWorkers. Huge sites will still want a dedicated crawler.
- Engine add-ons and a newer brand. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude and Grok cost extra, Copilot isn't tracked, and there are fewer public reviews than Botify has.
Pricing: Essential $49/month (25 prompts, 100 pages, 1 site). Pro $125/month (100 prompts, 300 pages, 3 sites, 5 users, AI traffic analytics, API). Enterprise custom. 7-day free trial.
Best for: SEO and content teams that need AI search, Google data and site health in one tool, without a six-figure contract.
See Orchly pricing or start a free trial.
2. Lumar: best for enterprise technical SEO with AI visibility built in
Lumar, formerly Deepcrawl, is the closest like-for-like swap for Botify's crawler. It's a cloud crawler built for large sites, with modules for analysis, monitoring, QA testing before releases and impact reporting.
On March 31, 2026, Lumar added AI visibility tracking for ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, with sentiment, competitor share of voice and up to two years of history. Its GEO reports also check AI bot access, robots.txt rules and raw versus rendered HTML.
Why switch from Botify
- Claude in the AI tracking. Lumar names six AI engines, including Claude, which Botify doesn't list.
- QA before you ship. The Protect module tests releases for SEO problems before they reach production.
- Easier to use, per reviewers. Lumar holds about 4.6 on G2, and reviewers often praise the interface.
Where it falls short
- Also quote-only. Pricing is built per module and reviewers still call it expensive next to mid-market crawlers.
- No page deployment. There's no PageWorkers-style tool to push changes, so fixes still go through your developers.
- Light on keyword research. Reviewers say it's a technical tool first and you'll need something else for keywords.
Pricing: custom quote by module. AI visibility is added through your account team.
Best for: enterprise teams that want a Botify-grade crawler plus AI visibility under one contract.
3. Conductor: best for enterprise teams moving budget toward AEO
Conductor is an enterprise SEO and content platform with unlimited users. Conductor Monitoring, built on its ContentKing acquisition, watches your site around the clock and alerts you when something changes or breaks.
Its AI Search Performance module tracks nine AI experiences, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Copilot, Perplexity, AI Mode and AI Overviews, per Conductor's docs. On September 24, 2026, CPO Wei Zheng became CEO, and the company reported 12x year-over-year growth in AEO customers.
Why switch from Botify
- Much wider AI coverage. Nine engines against Botify's five, with results across more than 160 countries.
- Real-time monitoring. Monitoring catches changes as they happen instead of waiting for the next scheduled crawl.
- A real trial. Conductor offers a free 3-week trial with no card, covering Creator, Intelligence and Monitoring.
Where it falls short
- Similar contract size. Pricing is custom, and third-party estimates put the median near $49,000 a year.
- No deep log analysis. Monitoring is about page changes and alerts, not how bots move through millions of URLs.
- Reporting complaints. G2 reviewers mention slow data loading and a learning curve.
Pricing: custom. Vendr estimates a median of about $49,000 a year (third-party). Free 3-week trial.
Best for: large brands that want AEO first, with always-on site monitoring.
4. seoClarity: best for an all-in-one enterprise suite with log files and AI tracking
seoClarity covers rank tracking, content research, site audits and log file analysis in one suite. Its pricing page lists public starting prices, which is rare at this level.
The Technical SEO plan includes unlimited crawl pages, log file analysis through Bot Clarity and spoofed bot detection. Its AI module, Clarity ArcAI, lists nine engines including Claude, Copilot and Grok, and ArcAI 3.0 shipped on April 1, 2026 with shopping tracking and an MCP server.
Why switch from Botify
- Log files plus keywords. You keep log analysis and gain enterprise rank tracking and content research in the same tool.
- Published starting prices. Technical SEO starts at $3,200 a month, so you can budget before a demo.
- Nine AI engines. One of the widest lists among enterprise suites.
Where it falls short
- ArcAI is priced separately. All three ArcAI packages are quote-only, on top of the SEO plan.
- Learning curve. Reviewers call the interface non-intuitive at first.
Pricing: Research & Content from $2,500/month, Technical SEO from $3,200/month, Enterprise from $4,500/month. ArcAI custom.
Best for: enterprise teams that want technical SEO, keywords and AI tracking from one vendor.
5. JetOctopus: best for log file analysis without an enterprise contract
JetOctopus is a cloud crawler and log analyzer with published pricing. It's the tool most often compared with Botify on crawl and log depth for the money.
Its log analyzer comes with more than 40 bots preset, including GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, and filters out fake bots with reverse DNS checks. Logs can stream in from Cloudflare, CloudFront, Fastly, Akamai, Vercel or Shopify.
Why switch from Botify
- Public, much lower pricing. Growth is $349 a month for 500,000 crawled URLs and 2 million log lines.
- AI bot logs out of the box. You can see how AI crawlers move through your site next to Googlebot.
- Unlimited seats and projects. Handy for agencies and larger teams.
Where it falls short
- No AI answer tracking. It shows AI bots on your site, not whether ChatGPT or AI Mode mentions your brand.
- Built for experts. G2 reviewers say it assumes technical SEO knowledge and isn't friendly for beginners.
Pricing: Growth $349/month, Pro $809/month, Ultra $1,559/month, Unlimited custom. Save 25% yearly. 7-day free trial.
Best for: technical SEOs who want crawl and log data at a fraction of Botify's price.
6. Screaming Frog: best for crawling on a small budget
Screaming Frog is the desktop crawler most SEOs already have installed. It crawls, renders JavaScript and exports everything, and the separate Log File Analyser can verify search engine and AI bots.
Version 24.0, released May 19, 2026, added an MCP server, so you can connect the crawler to AI assistants like Claude and ask for crawls and data in plain language. It can also send crawled pages to OpenAI or Gemini for things like summaries and alt text.
Why switch from Botify
- Tiny cost. A licence is $279 a year, and the Log File Analyser is £99 a year.
- Flexible and trusted. Custom extraction, JavaScript rendering and exports cover most audits.
- Free to start. The free version crawls up to 500 URLs.
Where it falls short
- Desktop, not a platform. Very large crawls depend on your machine's memory, and there are no shared dashboards or alerts like Botify's.
- No AI visibility tracking. It won't tell you how your brand shows up in AI answers.
Pricing: $279 per year per licence (from $235 with 20+ licences). Log File Analyser £99 per year. Free version up to 500 URLs.
Best for: in-house SEOs and consultants who want a crawler they run themselves.
7. Sitebulb: best for clear, prioritized audits
Sitebulb is a crawler known for explaining what's wrong and why it matters, instead of dumping raw data. It comes as a desktop app or a cloud version for teams.
The Pro desktop plan audits up to 500,000 URLs, and Cloud plans offer unlimited crawling. Sitebulb also offers MCP access, so you can connect your audits to Claude and other AI tools.
Why switch from Botify
- Easier to read. Hints come with explanations, which helps when you hand audits to developers or clients.
- Low cost. Desktop plans cost far less than Botify, and Cloud starts at £95 a month.
- No lock-in. There's a 14-day free trial with no card, and you can cancel anytime.
Where it falls short
- No log file analysis or deployment. It audits your site but doesn't show bot logs or push changes.
- No AI visibility tracking. You'd still need another tool for AI answers.
Pricing: Lite and Pro desktop plans, Cloud from £95/month. Save 15% yearly. 14-day free trial.
Best for: agencies and consultants who need readable audits for sites up to hundreds of thousands of URLs.
8. Semrush Enterprise: best for AI search inside a familiar SEO database
Semrush Enterprise pairs Semrush's keyword and backlink data with Enterprise AIO, its enterprise AI visibility product. Adobe completed its acquisition of Semrush on April 28, 2026.
Enterprise AIO lists nine engines: ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok, Gemini, Claude and DeepSeek. It adds unlimited prompts, multi-brand views, forecasting and ROI attribution, plus site audits built for multi-million-page sites.
Why switch from Botify
- Nine AI engines. Nearly twice the engines Botify lists.
- Keyword and backlink data. The research data Botify doesn't focus on.
- A cheaper entry point. Smaller teams can start with the AI Visibility Toolkit at $99 per domain a month, billed yearly.
Where it falls short
- Sales-only enterprise pricing. You won't know the real cost until a demo.
- Less log depth. It isn't built around log file analysis the way Botify is.
- Tracks more than it acts. Your team still writes and ships the fixes.
Pricing: Enterprise custom. AI Visibility Toolkit $99/month per domain, billed yearly.
Best for: enterprise teams that want AI search next to Semrush data they already use.
9. Profound: best for large brands that only need AI search
Profound is an AI visibility platform for big brands. If your Botify renewal is really about AI search, it goes much deeper there, but it isn't a crawler.
Enterprise covers nine engines, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Claude and DeepSeek, captured from the front end. It also offers Agent Analytics from CDN logs, shopping tracking and a prompt volumes panel. Profound raised a $180 million Series D at a $1.8 billion valuation on September 15, 2026.
Why switch from Botify
- AI search depth. Prompt volumes, shopping and AI Marketer agents go further than Botify's weekly AI Visibility data.
- AI bot traffic from CDN logs. You still see how AI agents visit your site.
Where it falls short
- Enterprise-only now. In mid-September 2026 Profound removed its self-serve plans, leaving a free 7-day trial and custom Enterprise.
- No technical SEO. No crawler, rank tracker or site audit, so you'd need a second tool for that.
Pricing: free 7-day trial, then custom Enterprise.
Best for: large brands that keep a separate SEO stack and want a dedicated AI search platform. More options in our Profound alternatives guide.
10. Scrunch: best for serving AI-friendly pages to bots
Scrunch is an AI search visibility platform with seven engines on every plan: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta AI.
Its AXP feature serves AI-optimized versions of your pages to AI bots, similar in idea to Botify's Markdown delivery for AI bots. Sitecore acquired Scrunch in June 2026.
Why switch from Botify
- Seven engines on every plan. No add-on fees for Claude or Gemini.
- Public pricing and a trial. Plans are listed openly, with a 7-day free trial.
- Agent traffic monitoring. See which AI bots visit your site.
Where it falls short
- No crawler or SEO suite. You'd still need a tool for technical SEO and rankings.
- Diagnoses more than it fixes. There's no content writing or outreach, and G2 reviewers flag weak reporting.
- Roadmap questions. Reviewers have raised questions about where the product goes under Sitecore.
Pricing: Starter $300/month ($250 yearly), Growth $500/month ($417 yearly), Enterprise custom.
Best for: brands that want wide AI engine tracking and bot-facing page versions without a big crawler contract.
11. Search Atlas: best budget option for automated on-page fixes
Search Atlas is a full SEO suite with an AI visibility module. Its OTTO pixel pushes SEO changes to your site, which is the closest thing to PageWorkers at a mid-market price.
Why switch from Botify
- Automated changes. OTTO deploys on-page fixes without a developer ticket, and reviewers praise the time it saves.
- Much lower cost. Plans start at $79 a month, with AI visibility for ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Mode from Growth.
Where it falls short
- JavaScript edits on your live site. Many enterprise developers and legal teams won't accept a pixel changing production pages.
- Not built for huge sites. It lacks Botify's log analysis and large-scale crawl depth.
- Billing complaints. Trustpilot reviews mention billing and cancellation issues.
Pricing: Starter $79, Growth $159, Pro $319, Agency from $999 a month.
Best for: lean teams and agencies that want fixes deployed automatically on a budget.
What changed at Botify in 2026
Botify has shipped a lot this year, and most of it points at AI agents. It's worth knowing before you decide.
- Agentic Feeds (March 24). AI-ready product feeds for retailers, launched in tech preview with general availability planned for the second half of 2026, per Botify's announcement. Botify said AI bot traffic to retail sites grew 5.4x in 2025.
- Wider AI Visibility (April). Gemini and AI Overviews joined ChatGPT, AI Mode and Perplexity. The same release added Deep Think Mode in Botify Assist and tracking for Claude-User, Claude-SearchBot and Google-Agent in LogAnalyzer, per the April release notes.
- Content for AI bots (June and July). Botify previewed Markdown delivery to AI bots, added product feed delivery to OpenAI and Google, and extended PageWorkers optimizations to AI bots.
- Competitive AI comparison (September 3). The August release added side-by-side AI visibility against competitors.
The direction is clear: Botify's homepage now pitches being found by shoppers and by AI agents. One thing hasn't changed. Botify's AI Visibility page says its data refreshes weekly, while several tools here check daily.
When to stay with Botify
Botify is still the right call in some cases:
- You run millions of URLs. For big retail and publishing sites, its crawl and log analysis at scale is hard to match.
- You rely on PageWorkers or SpeedWorkers. If you push fixes and pre-render pages through Botify today, moving off means rebuilding that with your developers.
- You're in a multi-year deal. Vendr says 24 to 36 month terms are common. Adding a lighter AI search tool now and reviewing at renewal is often smarter.
Which Botify alternative should you choose?
- You want AI search, Google data and site health in one affordable tool: Orchly.
- You want another enterprise crawler with AI tracking: Lumar or seoClarity.
- You want log analysis without the enterprise price: JetOctopus, or Screaming Frog on a tight budget.
- You want an enterprise suite that leads with AEO: Conductor.
