10 Best BrightEdge Alternatives for SEO and AI Search (2026)

BrightEdge is still one of the most complete enterprise SEO platforms you can buy. The problem usually isn't the data. It's everything around it.

Pricing is custom, and Vendr puts the median contract at about $50,000 a year, with terms of 12 to 36 months. Reviewers keep mentioning the learning curve. And AI Catalyst names three engines on its product page, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, while your leadership is now asking about Gemini, AI Mode and Claude too.

The teams we talk to who leave BrightEdge usually want one of two things: a cheaper way to cover SEO and AI search together, or a tool that does more of the work instead of adding to the recommendation backlog. Here are the BrightEdge alternatives worth looking at. Checked September 2026.

A quick note before the list: we build Orchly, and it's one of the tools below. We've used most of these platforms ourselves, some notes come from customers who moved over from them, and the rest comes from G2 and other user reviews. Every tool gets its good and bad parts, ours included.

1. Orchly: best BrightEdge alternative to track and grow AI visibility without an enterprise contract

Orchly AI visibility overview showing AI Visibility Score, Share of Voice, sentiment, average position and a competitor leaderboard
AI visibility, share of voice and competitors in one view

Orchly is an AI search optimization platform. It tracks how you show up in AI answers and on Google, then gives you agents that write the content, run the outreach and flag the site fixes.

It is not a like-for-like BrightEdge replacement. You won't get an enterprise keyword universe or a Data Cube-sized research database. What you get is SEO and AI visibility in one place, starting at $49 a month, with no annual sales cycle.

AI search tracking from the real interfaces

  • Real answers, daily. Orchly captures answers from the actual ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews interfaces, not a cheaper model API. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude and Grok are add-ons.
  • Prompts you can segment. Every prompt is tagged branded or non-branded and by intent, and prompt research suggests new ones for your category.
  • Citations and gaps. See every page AI cites, and use Mention Gap to find cited pages that name competitors but not you.

  • Perception and fact check. Orchly shows the attributes and objections AI links to your brand, and checks answers against your approved facts in Brand Brain.
  • Query fan-outs. See the background searches AI engines run before they answer. More on query fan-out analysis.

The Google side you'd miss from BrightEdge

  • Daily rank tracking. Keywords by country and device.
  • Search Console and GA4 together. Clicks, impressions, conversions and revenue in one dashboard, plus Page 360 for each URL.

  • AI traffic analytics. On Pro, see AI crawler visits and human referrals from AI by platform and page.

Agents that turn gaps into drafts

This is the biggest difference from BrightEdge. Instead of another list of recommendations, Orchly's agents draft the content and outreach, then wait for your approval.

  • Content Agent. Turns lost prompts and decaying Search Console pages into article and refresh tasks, drafts them in your brand voice and publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Sanity or Ghost.
  • Activation Agent. Finds the sites, Reddit threads and YouTube videos AI cites, drafts outreach and sends it from your Gmail, Zoho or SMTP inbox.

Content tasks built from lost prompts and decaying pages
  • Site Health Agent. Audits pages for technical SEO and AI search issues, ranked by priority, with a suggested fix for each.

Setup takes about ten minutes. Orchly reads your site and suggests topics, prompts and competitors, so you're not waiting on an onboarding plan.

Where Orchly falls short

  • Not a full enterprise SEO data suite. Its keyword and backlink data is smaller than Semrush or Ahrefs, so teams that live in deep keyword research may keep a data tool alongside it.
  • Newer brand. There are fewer public reviews than BrightEdge has built up over the years.

Pricing: Essential $49/month (25 prompts, 1 site). Pro $125/month (100 prompts, 3 sites, 5 users, AI traffic analytics, API). Enterprise custom. 7-day free trial.
Best for: SEO and content teams that want AI search and Google in one place, with agents that write and pitch for you.

See Orchly pricing or start a free trial.

2. Conductor: best for enterprise teams moving their SEO budget toward AEO

Conductor dashboard

Conductor is the closest like-for-like swap. It's an enterprise SEO and content platform with unlimited users, and it now leads with answer engine optimization.

Its AI Search Performance module tracks nine engine options, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Copilot, Perplexity, AI Mode and AI Overviews, across more than 160 countries, per Conductor's docs. That is wider than what BrightEdge lists for AI Catalyst.

On September 24, 2026, Conductor promoted CPO Wei Zheng to CEO and reported 12x AEO customer growth year over year. Customers include Airbnb, Coca-Cola and Atlassian.

Why switch from BrightEdge

  • Wider AI engine coverage. Claude, Grok and Copilot sit next to the Google and OpenAI engines.
  • Easier to use, per reviewers. G2 users rate its ease of use higher than BrightEdge's, and unlimited seats help bring in content and product teams.
  • Data in your own tools. AgentStack exposes Conductor data through MCP and APIs.

Where it falls short

  • Same kind of contract. Pricing is custom and third-party estimates put the median near $49,000 a year, so it rarely cuts cost much.
  • Reporting complaints. G2 reviewers mention slow data loading and reporting issues, plus a learning curve.

Pricing: custom quote. Third-party estimates suggest around $49,000 a year at the median (unverified).
Best for: large brands that want to stay on an enterprise suite but put AEO first.

3. seoClarity: best for data-heavy SEO teams that want wide AI engine coverage

seoClarity dashboard

seoClarity is BrightEdge's longtime rival for enterprise rank tracking, site audits and content research. Its AI module, Clarity ArcAI, is sold in three packages: Core, Discovery and Accuracy.

The ArcAI pricing page lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Gemini, DeepSeek, Claude, Copilot and Grok. ArcAI 3.0 shipped on April 1, 2026 with shopping tracking, accuracy and narrative controls, an agentic content workflow and an MCP server.

Why switch from BrightEdge

  • Nine AI engines. Coverage is among the widest of the enterprise suites.
  • AI bot activity. The Discovery package adds tracking of AI crawlers on your site.
  • Writer handoff. Content Fusion plugs into Google Docs and Word, which Rankability's review calls a strong point.

Where it falls short

  • Still quote-only. All three ArcAI packages say "ask for a quote," and third-party reviews estimate ArcAI at $2,500 to $4,000 a month.
  • Steep learning curve. Reviewers describe the interface as non-intuitive at first and say onboarding takes real effort.

Pricing: custom quote for ArcAI Core, Discovery and Accuracy. No free trial.
Best for: enterprise and ecommerce SEO teams that want broad AI engine tracking.

4. Botify: best for large sites where crawling and rendering are the bottleneck

Botify dashboard

Botify is built for big, technical sites. It's strongest at crawl analysis, log files and pushing fixes, not keyword research.

Its AI Visibility dashboard launched in beta in October 2025 for ChatGPT, AI Mode and Perplexity, with AI Overviews and Gemini planned for 2026. In March 2026 it launched Agentic Feeds, AI-ready product feeds for retailers, in tech preview.

Why switch from BrightEdge

  • It can deploy changes. PageWorkers pushes on-page changes and SpeedWorkers pre-renders pages so bots and AI crawlers can read them.
  • Log file depth. It shows how search and AI bots actually crawl your site, which matters for sites with millions of URLs.

Where it falls short

  • More expensive, not less. Vendr reports a median of about $74,200 a year, priced mostly by URL count.
  • AI tracking is young. The visibility dashboard started with three engines and was in beta at launch.
  • Overkill for smaller sites. Most of the value shows up on very large catalogs and publishers.

Pricing: custom. Vendr data shows about $48,000 to $150,000 a year. No free trial.
Best for: enterprise ecommerce and publishers with huge, technical sites.

5. Semrush Enterprise AIO: best for teams that want AI search inside a familiar SEO database

Semrush dashboard

Semrush Enterprise AIO is Semrush's enterprise AI visibility product. It lists nine engines: ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok, Gemini, Claude and DeepSeek.

It adds unlimited prompt tracking, multi-brand views, forecasting and ROI attribution on top of the Semrush SEO data many teams already use. Adobe completed its acquisition of Semrush in April 2026.

Why switch from BrightEdge

  • Nine engines. One of the widest lists here.
  • A database your team knows. Semrush's keyword and backlink data is likely already in your stack, so there's less to learn.
  • A cheaper path down. Smaller teams can start with the AI Visibility Toolkit at $99 per domain a month.

Where it falls short

  • Enterprise pricing is sales-only. You won't know the real cost of Enterprise AIO until a demo.
  • Tracks, doesn't execute. It shows gaps and recommendations, but your team still writes and ships the fixes.

Pricing: Enterprise AIO custom. AI Visibility Toolkit $99/month per domain, billed yearly.
Best for: enterprise teams already on Semrush that want AI search in the same place.

Profound dashboard

Profound is an AI visibility platform built for large brands. It doesn't try to be an SEO suite, so it pairs with whatever you use for Google.

It covers nine engines on Enterprise, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Claude and DeepSeek, and captures answers from the front end. It raised a $180 million Series D at a $1.8 billion valuation on September 15, 2026.

Why switch from BrightEdge

  • Deep AI search focus. Prompt volumes, shopping, agent analytics from CDN logs and AI Marketer agents.
  • Broad engine list. Wider than the three engines named for AI Catalyst.

Where it falls short

  • Still enterprise pricing. In September 2026 Profound removed its self-serve plans, so it's a free 7-day trial and then a custom Enterprise contract.
  • No SEO data. There's no rank tracker, keyword research or site audit, so you'd pay for a second tool.

Pricing: free 7-day trial, then custom Enterprise.
Best for: large brands with a separate SEO stack that want a dedicated AI search platform. See our Profound alternatives roundup for more.

Ahrefs dashboard

Ahrefs is the tool many BrightEdge users already keep on the side for backlinks and keyword research. Brand Radar adds AI visibility for any brand without setting up a project.

Brand Radar covers AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Grok, which it added in April 2026. It works from a huge index of modeled prompts built from keyword data.

Why switch from BrightEdge

  • Best-in-class link data. Backlink research is where Ahrefs has always been strongest.
  • Instant competitor lookups. Check any brand's AI visibility during a planning meeting, no setup needed.
  • Public pricing. You can see and buy plans without a sales call.

Where it falls short

  • Modeled prompts. They come from keyword data, not the prompts your customers type. Custom prompts cost extra and need a paid Ahrefs plan.
  • You pay twice. Brand Radar's AI index is sold separately from the SEO plans, from $199 a month per platform.

Pricing: Ahrefs Lite $129, Standard $249, Advanced $449 a month. Brand Radar AI index from $199/month, custom prompts from $50/month.
Best for: teams that want top backlink data and quick AI market research.

8. SE Ranking: best budget SEO suite with AI search tracking

SE Ranking dashboard

SE Ranking covers rank tracking, audits, keyword research and backlinks at a fraction of enterprise prices. Its AI Search add-on and SE Visible handle prompt tracking.

SE Visible tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity and AI Overviews daily, with Claude listed as coming soon. The add-on also includes a ChatGPT and AI Mode ads tracker.

Why switch from BrightEdge

  • Huge cost difference. Core starts at $129 a month, and the AI Search add-on is $89.
  • Covers most daily SEO work. G2 reviewers often say it does most of what the big suites do for much less.
  • Try before you buy. There's a 14-day trial on the suite and a 10-day trial on SE Visible.

Where it falls short

  • Lighter for huge sites. Very large, multi-market setups with enterprise governance needs are where BrightEdge still has the edge.
  • Two products. SEO lives in SE Ranking and prompt tracking in SE Visible, so the full stack means more than one subscription.

Pricing: Core $129/month, Growth $279/month. AI Search add-on $89/month. SE Visible from $99/month (200 prompts, 3 brands).
Best for: mid-market teams that want to cut SEO spend without losing AI tracking. More in our SE Ranking alternatives guide.

9. Search Atlas: best for automated on-site fixes

Search Atlas dashboard

Search Atlas is a full SEO suite with an AI visibility module. Its OTTO pixel pushes SEO changes to your site for you.

It's the one tool here besides Orchly and Botify that tries to close the gap between finding problems and fixing them.

Why switch from BrightEdge

  • Execution built in. OTTO makes on-page changes, and reviewers praise the time it saves.
  • Much lower cost. Plans start at $79 a month, and AI visibility for ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Mode starts on Growth.
  • Strong reviews. It holds 4.7 on both G2 and Capterra.

Where it falls short

  • JavaScript changes on your live site. Many enterprise developers and legal teams won't accept a pixel editing production pages.
  • Engines depend on plan. Perplexity and Copilot start at Pro, and there's no Claude.
  • Billing complaints. Trustpilot reviews mention billing and cancellation issues.

Pricing: Starter $79, Growth $159, Pro $319, Agency from $999 a month.
Best for: lean SEO teams and agencies that want fixes deployed automatically.

10. Scrunch: best for brands that want AI-optimized pages served to bots

Scrunch dashboard

Scrunch is an AI search visibility platform with seven engines on every plan: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta AI.

Its AXP feature serves AI-optimized versions of your pages to AI bots, similar in idea to BrightEdge's Agent Edge. Sitecore acquired Scrunch in June 2026.

Why switch from BrightEdge

  • Seven engines on every plan. No add-ons for Claude or Gemini.
  • Transparent pricing and a trial. Plans are listed publicly, with a 7-day free trial.
  • Agent traffic monitoring. See which AI bots visit your site.

Where it falls short

  • No SEO suite. You'd still need something for rankings, audits and keyword research.
  • Diagnoses more than it fixes. There's no content writing or outreach, and G2 reviewers flag weak reporting.
  • Roadmap questions. Reviewers have raised questions about where the product goes now that Sitecore owns it.

Pricing: Starter $300/month ($250 yearly), Growth $500/month ($417 yearly), Enterprise custom.
Best for: brands that want wide AI engine tracking and bot-facing page optimization.

What changed at BrightEdge in 2026

BrightEdge has been busy this year, so it's worth knowing what's new before you leave.

  • AI Hyper Cube (March 10). A data layer built from hundreds of millions of prompts, showing which prompts mention your brand, the sources behind recommendations and sentiment, per the launch announcement. It also added AI Agent Insights, which shows which agents visit your site.
  • Agent Edge (August 26). Serves a lighter version of your pages to verified AI agents at the CDN level. BrightEdge says 97% of the top 20,000 websites aren't set up to serve agents in formats like Markdown.
  • ChatGPT referral research (September 24). BrightEdge data showed ChatGPT referral traffic up 101% from January to August 2026, reaching 95.1% of AI referrals. Gemini had 2.4%, Perplexity 1.1% and Claude 0.8%.

The research is useful for anyone, customer or not. It also shows why ChatGPT tracking matters most, whichever tool you pick.

When to stay with BrightEdge

Leaving isn't always the right move. BrightEdge still makes sense if:

  • You run a huge, multi-market site. Data Cube X and the enterprise dashboards are built for tens of thousands of keywords across regions.
  • Your team leans on its CSM. Support is one of the most praised parts of BrightEdge on G2 and Gartner Peer Insights.
  • You're mid-contract. With terms of 12 to 36 months, it's often smarter to add a lighter AI search tool now and review at renewal.

Which BrightEdge alternative should you choose?

  • You want SEO and AI search together, with agents doing the work: Orchly.
  • You want to stay on an enterprise suite with wider AI coverage: Conductor or seoClarity.
  • You run a massive technical site: Botify.
  • You want to cut costs and keep solid SEO data: SE Ranking or Semrush.
