Your customers are asking ChatGPT about you right now. What it says back might be wrong.
A Searchable study of 1,704 brands found that 9.2% of the facts AI states about them are false, and pricing is the worst at 13.5%. (Searchable sells a competing tool, so take the exact number with a pinch of salt.)
That's why brands need AI search monitoring software that goes beyond "were we mentioned?" You want to know how AI describes you, what it gets wrong and how you stack up against rivals.
We compared 11 tools built for brand, comms and e-commerce teams. Checked September 2026.
Disclosure: we're the team behind Orchly, and it's first on this list. We've signed up for most of these tools, some of what we share comes from customers who used them before switching to us, and we've read what users say on G2 and Reddit. We've been straight about the good and the bad of each, Orchly included.

1. Orchly: best AI search monitoring software for protecting your brand
Orchly checks your prompts every day in the real ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews interfaces, the same way your customers see them. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude and Grok are add-ons.
Then it goes further than mentions. It shows how AI talks about you, catches wrong facts and helps you fix them.
How AI describes your brand
- Perception. The attributes AI links to your brand, plus the objections it raises about you, like "expensive" or "hard to set up."
- Sentiment and head-to-head. Positive, neutral and negative splits over time, and a side-by-side score against any competitor you choose. Our sentiment guide explains how to read it.
Catch what AI gets wrong
- Fact check. Orchly compares AI answers against Brand Brain, your approved facts on pricing, products and policies. Each claim is marked Supported, Contradicted or never mentioned.
- Brand Brain. Upload your products, pricing, audience and positioning once. It powers fact checks and every piece of content Orchly writes for you.
Shopping answers and ChatGPT ads
- AI shopping visibility. See which of your products show up in AI shopping answers, and which competitors take the spot. Our shopping visibility tracker covers the details.
- ChatGPT ads. Ads started showing in ChatGPT in 2026, and Orchly tracks them on your prompts too.
Reddit, where AI gets its opinions
- Social listening. Reddit and YouTube threads that mention you, your rivals or your category, with sentiment and flags for threads that already rank in Google or AI answers. See how to track Reddit mentions.
Then fix it
Monitoring is where Orchly starts. The Content Agent updates pages that feed wrong answers, and the Activation Agent reaches out to the sites AI cites.
For comms and PR teams, Orchly for brand and PR managers shows how this fits into a reporting routine.
Where Orchly falls short
- Fewer engines by default. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude and Grok are add-ons, and Copilot isn't tracked in the app.
- No retail engines. Orchly doesn't track Amazon's Alexa for Shopping (which replaced Rufus in May 2026) or Walmart Sparky.
Pricing: Essential $49/month (25 prompts daily). Pro $125/month (100 prompts, 3 sites, 5 users, white-label reports). 7-day free trial.
Best for: brands that want to know what AI says about them, and fix it.
See Orchly pricing or start a free trial.
2. Profound: best for enterprise brand accuracy
Profound is one of the biggest names in AI visibility. It raised a $180M Series D in September 2026, and it now sells almost entirely to enterprise brands.
For brand teams, the headline feature is FactCheck, launched in July 2026. You build a knowledge base from your site, files, Google Drive or Notion, and Profound checks AI answers against it. You get an accuracy score, wrong claims grouped by theme and the sources behind them.
It also tracks ChatGPT Shopping at the SKU level, plus sentiment and citation analytics. It captures answers from the real front-end interfaces, not just the API.
What we like
- Accuracy checks with sources. FactCheck shows which claims are wrong and where AI picked them up, so you know what to fix.
- Nine engines on Enterprise. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, AI Overviews and Exa.
- Shopping at the product level. You can see which of your SKUs, and which rival products or retailers, show up in ChatGPT Shopping.
- Support. G2 reviewers regularly praise the depth of the data and the support team.
Where it falls short
- No paid self-serve plan. The $99 and $399 plans went away in September 2026. After the free trial, you talk to sales.
- FactCheck is Enterprise-only. The trial covers just ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews, with no history, exports or API.
- Steep learning curve. Some G2 reviewers call it "overwhelming for new users."
Pricing: free 7-day trial (50 prompts a day), then Enterprise (custom).
Best for: large brands with an analyst on staff and budget for an enterprise contract.
3. Evertune: best for CMOs who think in brand metrics
Evertune comes at AI search from the brand marketing side. It samples each prompt about 100 times per model, which gives you a statistical AI Brand Score. That's closer to classic brand tracking than rank tracking.
Its Word Association report scores how strongly AI links words to your brand, and how positive each one is, from -100 to +100. You can also see which attributes AI stresses for you versus your competitors.
It's used by brands and agencies like Roku, WPP and Athenahealth. In May 2026 it added a ChatGPT ad agent, and it has AI retargeting and affiliate partnerships through impact.com.
What we like
- Exec-friendly scores. One brand score with clear trend call-outs is easy to drop into a board deck.
- Statistical sampling. Running each prompt 100 times smooths out the randomness in AI answers.
- Wide model coverage. Pro covers 11 models, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, AI Mode, Copilot, DeepSeek and Meta AI.
- Ads built in. The Ads Agent and ChatGPT ad campaigns suit brands that already buy media.
Where it falls short
- No trial, and a high floor. Pro starts at $800 a month, and you can't try it first.
- Almost no independent reviews. Evertune had zero G2 reviews when we checked, so you're relying on demos and references.
- Directional, not fixable. Brand-level scores tell you the trend, but they're less useful when you need to fix one specific wrong answer.
Pricing: Pro $800/month (11 models, 25 articles a month). Enterprise custom.
Best for: brand marketers and CMOs with a media budget.
4. Brandlight: best for Fortune 500 narrative tracking
Brandlight is built for big, global brands that care about owning their story in AI answers. It tracks whether AI talks about you positively, negatively or neutrally, with 30-day trends and anomaly detection.
It also shows which sources AI uses to validate your expertise, which helps you trace where a wrong or weak description comes from. It works across regions and languages.
Brandlight raised a $30M Series A in February 2026 and announced an AI Ads product alongside it. It also has a commerce product for AI shopping. Customers include Volkswagen Group, LG, Estée Lauder and Kimberly-Clark.
What we like
- Multi-brand benchmarking. Useful if you run a portfolio of brands across markets.
- Hands-on service. Reviewers like the team and the dashboard. It holds a 4.8 on G2, per third-party roundups.
- Global by design. Multi-region, multi-language and SOC 2 Type II.
- Commerce and ads. Separate products cover AI shopping shelves and AI advertising.
Where it falls short
- Opaque pricing. There's no public price, and you start with a paid three-month pilot.
- Slow start. Reviewers report onboarding takes one to three months.
- Monitors but doesn't fix. That's how some reviewers put it. You still need an agency or in-house team to act on the insights.
Pricing: custom, via a paid three-month pilot.
Best for: global enterprise brands with several product lines.
5. Scrunch: best for catching misinformation
Scrunch compares AI answers against your Knowledge Hub and flags wrong pricing, features, made-up partnerships and outdated descriptions. In June 2026 it added Knowledge Studio, which pulls your facts from tools like Notion and SharePoint, plus Sentiment Trends.
It supports multiple brands, sites, regions and languages, with personas and alerts when your rank, citations or bot traffic change.
Sitecore bought Scrunch in June 2026. It has around 500 customers.
What we like
- Accuracy checks against your own facts. Misinformation detection is a core feature, not an add-on.
- Seven engines on every plan. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta AI, even on Starter.
- Personas and multi-brand setup. Handy when different audiences ask about different products.
- A strong API. G2 reviewers note it returns full answer text and citation URLs.
Where it falls short
- Weak exec reporting. Several G2 reviewers want better reports and exports for decks, despite scheduled reports.
- It diagnoses, you fix. Scrunch shows the problem, but the content work is on your team.
- Roadmap uncertainty. After the Sitecore deal, it's fair to ask where the product is heading.
Pricing: Starter $300/month, or $250/month billed yearly (350 prompts, 3 seats). 7-day free trial.
Best for: mid-size brands with several products or regions.
6. Peec AI: best newcomer for brand perception
Peec AI started as a clean, affordable AI visibility tracker and has added brand features fast. In September 2026 it launched Brand Perception.
That covers the attributes AI links to you, recurring objections (on Pro and up), how your brand shape compares to competitors, and fact checks with verdicts like Supported, Contradicted or Inconclusive. Every claim traces back to the pages the models cited.
Earlier in 2026 it added AI Shopping Analytics (June) and an Ads page (July). Reviewers tend to pick it for the price and the unlimited seats.
What we like
- Clean UI. Reviewers call it intuitive, and G2 rates it 4.8.
- Fair pricing, unlimited seats. You don't pay more as your team grows.
- Fact checks on every plan. Market view and fact-checking come with all tiers, with coverage scaling up by plan.
- Shopping and ads. SKU visibility from your Shopify or Google Merchant Center catalog, plus an ads view.
Where it falls short
- Three engines per plan. Every self-serve plan is capped at three models. Claude and Grok are premium upgrades on higher tiers or Enterprise.
- Brand new perception features. Brand Perception launched in September 2026, so there's little track record yet.
- Objections cost more. Objection tracking starts on Pro, not Starter.
Pricing: Starter from about $95/month (€85, 50 prompts). Pro about $245/month (€205). 7-day trial.
Best for: mid-size brands that want clean perception data on a budget.
7. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best for SEO-led brand teams
Semrush tracks your brand's share of voice, main narratives and sentiment inside the suite many SEO teams already use. Adobe completed its purchase of Semrush in April 2026.
The self-serve AI Visibility Toolkit covers ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity across 32 countries.
The deeper version, Enterprise AIO, breaks down mentions, sources and sentiment by brand, market, city and product. It also has automations for Reddit analysis and negative sentiment.
What we like
- Fits an existing workflow. If your brand team sits next to SEO, the data lives in a tool they already know.
- Narratives, not just mentions. Brand Performance shows the main narratives and key business drivers AI associates with you.
- Local detail at the top end. Enterprise AIO goes down to market, city and product level.
Where it falls short
- Small prompt set. The $99 toolkit tracks 25 prompts, and brand metrics update weekly.
- SEO-first. The full perception detail lives in Enterprise AIO. Reviewers also mention opaque methodology and generic recommendations.
- Softer on negatives. The toolkit groups mentions as "positive or general," so negative sentiment is under-emphasized at that level.
Pricing: AI Visibility Toolkit $99/month per domain, billed yearly. Enterprise AIO custom.
Best for: Semrush customers whose brand and SEO teams work together.
8. Meltwater GenAI Lens: best for PR teams already on Meltwater
Meltwater GenAI Lens adds AI answers to the news and social monitoring PR teams already use. It tracks AI share of voice, competitor benchmarks, citations and misinformation across nine engines, and Meltwater says the data updates daily.
Citation tracking covers media, Reddit, Wikipedia and press releases, so you can see which publishers AI leans on and pitch them. In its May 2026 release, Meltwater added AI recommendations and one view of brand monitoring across news, social and AI answers.
It's built for comms and PR teams who already live in Meltwater.
What we like
- Everything in one place. News, social and AI answers side by side, which is how comms teams already report.
- Built for PR outreach. Knowing which outlets AI cites turns straight into a media list.
- Broad engine list. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, DeepSeek, Llama and Grok.
Where it falls short
- Only makes sense on Meltwater. It's a paid add-on to a Meltwater contract, with no public price.
- Thin on detail. Sentiment and misinformation methods aren't well documented, and GenAI Lens reviews are scarce.
- Learning curve. G2 reviewers of Meltwater itself mention a complex interface.
Pricing: custom add-on to a Meltwater contract.
Best for: PR and comms teams already on Meltwater.
9. Goodie: best for retail brands
Goodie focuses on commerce. Its Agentic Commerce Suite covers product answers in ChatGPT and Perplexity. On Pro, it also tracks Alexa for Shopping, which replaced Amazon Rufus in May 2026, and Walmart Sparky.
Beyond shopping, it has sentiment tracking, Brand Command for accuracy in AI answers, a Content Studio and support for multiple markets and languages.
It suits retail and CPG brands, and it has an Agency plan for teams managing several clients.
What we like
- Retail engines. Tracking in Alexa for Shopping and Walmart Sparky is rare in this category.
- Wide model coverage. Up to 13 models on Enterprise, including Claude and Grok.
- White-label reports. Useful for agencies and for brand teams reporting to retail partners.
- Help included. Core comes with a strategist.
Where it falls short
- A high floor. It starts at $399 a month, and the retail engines need the $999 Pro plan.
- Few public reviews. It's hard to find independent feedback before you buy.
Pricing: Core $399/month (120 prompts, 5 models, 7-day trial). Pro $999/month (8 models incl. Alexa and Sparky). Agency $275.
Best for: retail and CPG brands selling on Amazon and Walmart.
10. Ahrefs Brand Radar: best for market-wide brand research
Ahrefs Brand Radar shows your share of voice against competitors across a huge index of modeled prompts, built from Ahrefs' keyword data. You don't write prompts or wait for data to collect.
It covers AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Grok. In January 2026 it added YouTube and Reddit mention tracking, alongside web mentions and citations.
SEO and research teams use it to size up a market or check any competitor on demand.
What we like
- Instant data. Look up any brand or competitor with no setup.
- Scale. The modeled index is far bigger than any prompt list you'd write yourself.
- Reddit and YouTube. Mention tracking on the two places AI quotes most.
Where it falls short
- Modeled prompts. They're built from keywords, so they don't reflect your customers' actual questions. Custom prompts cost extra and need a paid Ahrefs plan.
- Weak on accuracy. There's no fact checking or shopping data, and reviews disagree on how much sentiment it offers.
- Costs stack. Pricing is per AI platform, and reviewers say prompt checks run out.
Pricing: from $199/month per AI platform, or $699/month for all.
Best for: market research and competitive analysis.
11. Brand24 Chatbeat: best for social listening teams
Chatbeat is Brand24's AI visibility tool. It adds AI answers to the social, news and review monitoring Brand24 is known for.
You get a Brand Score from 0 to 100, your median position, share of AI answers against competitors and the source sites AI uses. It also flags incorrect or outdated information about your brand.
It fits social media and community teams who already run listening and want AI answers in the same routine.
What we like
- Clear public pricing. Every plan is listed, and there's a 14-day trial with no card.
- A familiar workflow. It works like the listening tools comms teams already use.
- Grows with you. Advanced adds unlimited seats and exports, and Business adds white-label reports.
Where it falls short
- Three models on the entry plan. The $99 plan covers only three AI models.
- Less documented depth. Sentiment and fact-checking detail is thinner than in AI-native tools, and Chatbeat-specific reviews are scarce.
Pricing: Essential $99/month (30 prompts, 3 models). Advanced $299/month (100 prompts, 6 models).
Best for: social media and community teams.
Why brands need to watch AI answers now
- People use it. Pew Research found that 49% of US adults now use AI chatbots, up from 33% in 2024.
- It drives sales. Adobe data showed AI traffic to US retailers up 393% in Q1 2026, converting 42% better than other traffic.
- People still check. An Idea Grove survey found only 2% buy from an unfamiliar brand AI recommends without checking it first. So your reviews and Reddit presence matter too.
- Ads are here. OpenAI started testing ads in ChatGPT in January 2026, and they've since spread to more countries.
What to look for in brand monitoring software
- Real answers, not API guesses. Track the answers your customers actually see.
- Accuracy checks. Sentiment isn't enough. You need to know when AI gets your pricing wrong.
- Competitor comparisons. How AI describes you next to rivals.
- Shopping and ads. If you sell products, track what AI recommends and who's advertising.
- A way to fix it. Content updates and outreach, not just alerts.
