10 Best AI SEO Tools for Agencies (2026)

Running SEO for ten clients is mostly the same six jobs on repeat. Track rankings, audit the site, write content, build links, report, and now explain what ChatGPT says about the brand.

Clients want that last one badly. The AgencyAnalytics 2026 benchmarks found 66% of agencies see more demand for AI search optimization, and 48% struggle to track how people find brands through AI tools.

So the right AI SEO tool for an agency is the one that handles the whole client loop with fewer logins and a fair cost per client. We compared 10 of them on exactly that. Checked September 2026.

Quick note before the list: we build Orchly, and it's one of the tools here. We've used most of the others in client work, some notes come from agencies that switched to us, and the rest come from G2 and user reviews. Every tool gets real pros and cons, ours too.

1. Orchly: best AI SEO tool for agencies to run client SEO and AI search in one place

Orchly AI visibility overview showing AI Visibility Score, Share of Voice, sentiment, average position and a competitor leaderboard
One client's AI visibility, share of voice and competitors

Orchly is an agentic AI search optimization platform. For an agency, that means each client gets one workspace with Google rankings, Search Console, AI search visibility and social listening side by side.

Then agents turn what you find into client deliverables: articles, outreach and site fixes. Nothing goes live until you approve it.

Set up a client in about ten minutes

  • A workspace per client. Prompts, keywords, competitors, integrations and agents stay separate, so client data never mixes.
  • Fast onboarding. Orchly reads the client's site and suggests topics, prompts and competitors, so a new client takes about ten minutes.
  • Roles per workspace. Give your team Admin or Member access only to the clients they work on.

Track Google and AI search together

  • Rank tracking. Daily keyword positions by country and device.
  • Search Console and GA4. Clicks, conversions and revenue for each client, next to their AI data.
  • AI search visibility. Daily tracking in the real ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews interfaces, not a cheaper API. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude and Grok are add-ons.

Search Console and GA4 for each client
  • Social listening. Reddit and YouTube threads that mention the client or its competitors, with sentiment, and a flag when a thread ranks in Google or AI answers.

Send one white-label report

Reports combine AI search, organic traffic, keyword rankings and social listening. Share them as a live link or PDF and see when the client opens them.

On Pro, reports carry your agency's logo and name. The white-label setup takes a few minutes.

Agents that produce client deliverables

  • Content Agent. Turns lost prompts and decaying Search Console pages into article and refresh tasks, drafts them in the client's brand voice, and publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Sanity or Ghost after approval.

Content tasks from lost prompts and decaying pages
  • Activation Agent. Finds backlink and citation opportunities, plus the Reddit threads and YouTube videos AI cites. It drafts outreach and sends it from your Gmail, Zoho or SMTP inbox once you approve.

  • Site Health Agent. Audits pages for technical SEO and AI search issues, ranks them by priority and suggests fixes.
  • Custom agents. On Pro, build your own agents for the repeat tasks your team runs for every client.

See how this fits an agency workflow on our agencies page.

Where Orchly falls short

  • Smaller SEO database. Keyword and backlink data is smaller than Semrush or Ahrefs, so keep one of those if deep competitor research is a core service.
  • 3 sites on Pro, reports-only white-label. Pro covers three client sites. White-label covers reports, not a fully branded app on your own domain.

Pricing: Essential $49/month (1 site, 25 prompts daily). Pro $125/month (3 sites, 100 prompts, 5 users, white-label, API). Enterprise custom. 7-day free trial.
Best for: agencies that want client SEO, AI search and deliverables in one platform.

2. Semrush: best all-in-one SEO suite for agencies

Semrush dashboard

Semrush is still the default suite for a lot of agencies. Keyword research, position tracking, site audits, backlink audits and competitor data all live in one place.

Adobe completed its acquisition of Semrush in April 2026. The current Semrush One plans bundle SEO with AI search tracking, from 50 prompts daily on Starter to 200 on Advanced.

For agencies, the pieces that matter are My Reports for white-label reporting and the Agency Partner Program, which lists you in a directory and matches you with leads.

What we like

  • Depth of data. Few tools match its keyword and competitor database, which is what you want for pitches and audits.
  • Many sites per plan. Advanced covers 40 websites and 5,000 daily keywords, so one plan can hold a real client roster.
  • White-label reports. Pro reports add your logo, colors and custom domain, and they pull live data on a schedule.
  • Outreach built in. The AI PR Toolkit handles journalist outreach and campaign tracking.

Where it falls short

  • Costs stack up. Extra users start at $45 a month, white-label reports are $20 a month each, and toolkits like Local or Content are priced separately.
  • Tracks more than it produces. It finds the gaps, but your team still writes, pitches and fixes.
  • AI prompts are tight across clients. 50 to 200 prompts is shared across the whole plan, and the standalone AI Visibility Toolkit is $99 per domain.

Pricing: SEO $139/month. Starter $199 (50 prompts). Pro+ $299 (15 sites, 100 prompts). Advanced $549 (40 sites, 200 prompts). About 17% off yearly.
Best for: agencies that want the biggest SEO database in one login.

3. SE Ranking: best white-label platform for small and mid-size agencies

SE Ranking dashboard

SE Ranking covers rank tracking, audits, backlinks and competitor research at a lower price than Semrush or Ahrefs. The company says 40,000+ agencies use it.

Its Agency Pack turns the whole platform into your own branded tool, with your domain, logo and colors. That's rarer than it sounds.

AI search tracking comes through the AI Search add-on, which also gives access to SE Visible, its standalone AI visibility tool.

What we like

  • Full white-label. Clients log into your branded platform on your domain, and reports send from your agency email.
  • Lead Generator. An embeddable on-page SEO checker widget captures prospects for you.
  • AI results in reports. Report Builder has an AI section covering AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
  • Value. G2 reviews sit around 4.7, and a common theme is getting most of what Semrush or Ahrefs does for about half the cost.

Where it falls short

  • Three products to stitch. The full stack is the SEO suite, the AI Search add-on and the Agency Pack, each billed separately.
  • No Claude yet. Claude is listed as coming soon, and there's no Copilot or Grok.
  • No content or outreach agents. It reports and audits well, but delivery is on your team.

Pricing: Core $129/month ($103.20 yearly). AI Search add-on $89 ($71.20). Agency Pack from $69. 14-day trial.
Best for: agencies that want a fully branded client platform on a budget.

Ahrefs dashboard

Ahrefs has one of the largest backlink indexes around, which is why link-building agencies keep it no matter what else they use.

Plans include Site Explorer, Keywords Explorer, Site Audit, Rank Tracker and a handful of tracked AI prompts. Brand Radar, sold separately, shows any brand's AI visibility across a modeled index of prompts with no setup.

That instant lookup is great for pitching. You can show a prospect how often AI mentions them versus a competitor before they sign.

What we like

  • Backlink data. Strong for link audits, competitor gap analysis and finding outreach targets.
  • Projects for many clients. Standard covers 20 projects and Advanced covers 50.
  • Brand Radar for pitches. Look up any brand's AI visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini and Copilot, plus Grok since April 2026.
  • Keeps shipping. A citation API arrived in June 2026, useful if you build your own client dashboards.

Where it falls short

  • No true white-label. Report Builder output keeps Ahrefs branding, and white-label PDFs are still an open feature request on its public board.
  • Seats are expensive. Each plan includes one user, and extra users cost $40 to $80 a month each depending on plan.
  • Modeled AI prompts. Brand Radar prompts come from keyword data, and custom prompts for a client's real questions cost extra.

Pricing: Lite $129/month (5 projects). Standard $249 (20 projects). Advanced $449 (50 projects). Brand Radar from $199. Content Kit from $99.
Best for: agencies selling link building and competitive research.

5. Search Atlas: best for automated on-site fixes

Search Atlas dashboard

Search Atlas is an SEO suite built around OTTO, an agent that pushes on-page fixes like titles, meta descriptions and alt text through a pixel on the client's site.

That makes it one of the few tools here that changes client sites for you rather than handing you a to-do list.

The Agency plan adds client portals, branded dashboards and unlimited keyword tracking. AI visibility starts on Growth.

What we like

  • OTTO saves hours. Reviewers consistently mention the time saved on repetitive on-page work.
  • Wide suite. Keyword research, rank tracking, Content Genius for writing, link building and ad tools sit in one account.
  • Built for client work. White-label dashboards on Pro, client portals on Agency.
  • Good ratings. Around 4.7 on G2 and Capterra.

Where it falls short

  • Pixel changes worry some clients. OTTO edits live pages through JavaScript, and some client dev teams won't allow it. Trustpilot reviews, around 3.3, also mention unwanted site changes.
  • Billing complaints. Several Trustpilot reviews mention trouble with billing and cancellation.
  • AI coverage by tier. Growth tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Mode. Perplexity and Copilot need Pro, and there's no Claude.

Pricing: Starter $79/month. Growth $159. Pro $319 (4 projects, white-label dashboards). Agency from $999 (10+ projects, client portals). 7-day trial.
Best for: agencies that want on-page fixes automated at scale.

6. AgencyAnalytics: best for white-label client reporting

AgencyAnalytics dashboard

AgencyAnalytics isn't an SEO research tool. It's the reporting layer many agencies put on top of everything else.

It pulls data from 85+ integrations, including Search Console, GA4, Google Ads and social platforms, into branded dashboards and scheduled reports. Rank tracking and AI tracking are add-ons.

Pricing is per client, so cost grows with your roster instead of jumping between tiers.

What we like

  • Full white-label. Custom domain, custom email, your logo and colors, and a client portal.
  • Unlimited users. Staff and client logins are unlimited on every plan.
  • Well liked. G2 sits around 4.7 across more than 450 reviews, with support and ease of use getting the most praise.
  • AI Tracker add-on. Tracks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Perplexity for client reports.

Where it falls short

  • Reports, not delivery. There's a site auditor and backlink monitor, but no keyword research, content or outreach.
  • Weekly AI checks. AI Tracker runs weekly on credits that expire monthly, and each engine and location costs another credit.
  • Add-ons add up. Rank tracking is $41.67 a month per 500 keywords on top of the per-client fee.

Pricing: $20 per client/month billed yearly. Rank Tracker from $41.67/month. AI Tracker from $20.83/month (250 credits). 14-day trial.
Best for: agencies that need polished branded reports across many channels.

7. Surfer: best for content optimization at scale

Surfer dashboard

Surfer is the content editor a lot of agency writers already know. It scores drafts against top-ranking pages and now includes an AI SEO content score.

Brand spaces keep each client's content and AI tracking separate, which works well for an agency with a writing team. Positive Group acquired Surfer in October 2025.

What we like

  • Writer-friendly editor. Content scoring, Google Docs and WordPress integrations, and an AI writing assistant.
  • Brand spaces. Pro includes 5 and Peace of Mind is unlimited.
  • AI tracking included. Pro tracks 50 prompts daily across ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Mode.
  • Popular with reviewers. G2 sits around 4.8.

Where it falls short

  • Content only. No rank tracker, backlink data or technical crawl, so you still need a suite.
  • Prompts are thin for agencies. 50 prompts across five clients is only 10 each, and there's no Claude.
  • White-label is Enterprise. Branded outputs need a custom plan.

Pricing: Standard $99/month. Pro $182 (5 brand spaces, 50 prompts daily). Peace of Mind $299 (unlimited brand spaces, 100 prompts). Billed yearly.
Best for: agencies with content teams writing for many clients.

8. Frase: best for publishing content at volume

Frase dashboard

Frase handles research, briefs, writing and publishing in one flow, with a GEO score for AI search and AI visibility tracking built in.

Its Scale plan includes 100 articles and 500 prompts a month, which is roomy for an agency producing content for several clients. It was rebuilt in February 2026.

What we like

  • Research to publish. Briefs, drafts and publishing to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity and Wix.
  • Content Guard. Flags decaying pages so you know which client articles need a refresh.
  • Five engines on Scale. ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini.
  • Low entry price. Starter is $39 a month on yearly billing.

Where it falls short

  • Engines by tier. Starter and Professional track only ChatGPT and Google AI, plus Perplexity on Professional.
  • No rank tracking or links. You'll still need an SEO suite for positions and backlinks.
  • Rocky relaunch. The February 2026 rebuild upset some lifetime-deal customers.

Pricing: Starter $39/month. Professional $103. Scale $239 (100 articles, 500 prompts). Billed yearly. 7-day trial.
Best for: agencies producing a lot of client content.

9. Nightwatch: best rank tracker for agencies

Nightwatch dashboard

Nightwatch is a rank tracker first. It covers Google, YouTube, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo and Google Maps, and it now tracks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity too.

The Agency plan covers 100 websites and 7,500 keywords, which fits a large local or ecommerce client base.

What we like

  • Many sites per plan. 100 websites on Agency, 25 on Professional.
  • Unlimited seats. You pay for keywords tracked, not team size.
  • White-label reports. Included from Professional, with Looker Studio.
  • AI prompts included. 500 AI prompts on Agency, with no add-on fees.

Where it falls short

  • Tracking, not delivery. No content writing, outreach or on-site fixes.
  • Small audits on lower tiers. Per third-party reviews, Site Audit covers only 25 pages on Starter and Professional.
  • Priced in euros. Budget for currency swings if you bill clients in dollars.

Pricing: Starter €79/month. Professional €159 (25 sites, white-label). Agency €399 (100 sites, 7,500 keywords, 500 prompts). 14-day trial.
Best for: agencies whose clients care most about rankings.

10. Screaming Frog: best for technical audits

Screaming Frog dashboard

Screaming Frog is the crawler most technical SEOs open first. It finds broken links, redirects, duplicate content, hreflang issues and more on sites of any size.

It now connects to OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic and Ollama, so you can run custom AI prompts on every page during a crawl. Agencies use that to write alt text, classify intent or spot thin content across thousands of URLs.

What we like

  • Cheap. $279 a year per user, and less at volume.
  • Deep crawls. JavaScript rendering, scheduling, and Search Console, GA and PageSpeed data.
  • AI prompts in crawls. Run your own LLM checks across a whole client site.
  • Free version. Crawl up to 500 URLs for quick pitch audits.

Where it falls short

  • Desktop tool, not a platform. No client workspaces, dashboards or rank tracking.
  • Technical learning curve. Juniors need training to turn a crawl into a client-ready report.
  • You pay for AI separately. AI prompts run on your own API keys.

Pricing: free (500 URLs). $279/year per licence, down to $235 at 20+ licences.
Best for: technical SEO audits on large client sites.

How AI changed agency SEO in 2026

  • Clients ask for it. 66% of agencies report more demand for AI search optimization, per AgencyAnalytics.
  • Explaining eats the hours. In a Scrunch and Scribewise survey, 71% of agencies offering GEO said they spend more time explaining AI search than executing it.
  • Rankings alone don't cover it. Ahrefs found only 37.9% of AI Overview citations come from top-10 results, down from 76% a year earlier.
  • Citations still pay. Seer Interactive found brands cited in AI Overviews get about 120% more clicks than those that aren't.

What to look for in an AI SEO tool for agencies

  • Cost per client. Divide the plan price by the number of clients it really covers, including prompts and keywords per client.
  • White-label depth. Branded reports are common. A branded app on your own domain is rarer.
  • Google and AI search together. Clients want one report, not two logins.
  • Delivery, not just data. Look for tools that draft content, run outreach or fix pages, with an approval step before anything goes live.
  • Fast client setup. Onboarding a new client should take minutes, not a day.

If you only need AI visibility tracking, see our list of AI search visibility tools for agencies.
