How to connect Bing Webmaster Tools
Add Bing search data and Bing indexing to Orchly. Bing feeds Copilot and ChatGPT search, so it is worth tracking.
To connect Bing Webmaster Tools to Orchly, open Settings → Integrations, click Configure on Bing Webmaster Tools, sign in on Bing, and pick a verified site. Orchly then adds Bing clicks, impressions, keywords and pages to your organic dashboard, shows Bing indexing, and lets you submit URLs for instant crawling.
Why connect Bing if you already have Google?
Bing’s index doesn’t only serve Bing. It also feeds Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT Search. A page that isn’t in Bing’s index can’t be served in Bing or to Copilot, which is a real gap if you care about AI search visibility.
So Bing gives you two things Search Console can’t:
- A second view of organic search. Some pages get Bing traffic and almost no Google traffic, and the reverse.
- A direct line to get pages crawled. When you publish or update a page, you can push it to Bing right away instead of waiting for the crawler.
A Bing Webmaster Tools account with your site already added and verified. If you haven’t set it up, do that in Bing first. Bing lets you import sites straight from Google Search Console.
How do I connect Bing Webmaster Tools?
- Go to Settings → Integrations and click Configure on Bing Webmaster Tools.
- In the drawer, click Connect Bing Webmaster Tools. You sign in on Bing and approve access.
- Back in Orchly, a Finish connecting Bing Webmaster Tools window lists your verified sites. Pick the one for this workspace and click Finish setup.
If you only have one verified site, Orchly picks it for you.
If you closed that window by mistake, the row shows Action required. Click Finish setup, or open the drawer and choose your site under Site, then click Save site.
Where does Bing data show up?
On the organic dashboard
Go to Organic Traffic and switch the source to Bing. You get Bing clicks, impressions, keywords and pages. Bing has no country or device breakdown, so those views only work for Google sources. See the organic search dashboard.
While the first pull runs, the dashboard shows Pulling your Bing data.
On the Indexing tab
Once Bing is connected, Organic Traffic → Indexing gets a Source toggle with Google and Bing. The Bing view shows:
- How many pages are in Bing index and how many Bing crawled/day.
- A daily chart of crawl responses: 2xx OK, 301, 302, 4xx, 5xx, Blocked (robots), DNS failures, and crawl errors.
- A page list with each URL’s Status (for example In index, Not indexed, Not found (404) or Redirect), Last Crawl, Discovered date, Size and Inbound links.
Bing is checked once a day.
How do I submit URLs to Bing?
On the Bing indexing view:
- Click Submit URLs to Bing.
- Paste one absolute URL per line, like
https://yoursite.com/new-page. - Click Submit.
The URLs are queued for crawling or recrawling. The form allows up to 10,000 a day.
Agents can do this too. With Bing connected, you can ask Ask Orchly to “Submit my new article to Bing”. Submitting doesn’t need your approval, because it changes nothing on your site.
A good habit: when an agent publishes or refreshes an article, submit the URL to Bing in the same run. It’s the quickest way to get new content in front of Copilot and ChatGPT Search.
Can agents read Bing data?
Yes. Bing Webmaster Tools appears under Knows about in an agent’s Tools & data. Try:
- “Which pages get Bing traffic but not Google?”
- “Which of our pages are not indexed on Bing?”
See agent abilities and tools.
