How to set up Orchly in 10 minutes
Connect your data, add your brand, and start tracking AI and organic visibility in about ten minutes. A step-by-step setup walkthrough.
When you sign up, Orchly walks you through a short setup wizard that creates your workspace and starts tracking. It takes about ten minutes, and most of the work is done for you because Orchly reads your website and suggests topics, prompts, and competitors automatically.
New to the platform? Start with what is Orchly and how it works for the bigger picture.
Below is each step, what it asks for, and what you can safely skip.
Your website URL, and ideally access to your Google Search Console account so you can connect it during setup. Everything else is optional.
Step 1: Tell Orchly about your brand
The first screen welcomes you and asks who you are. Choose I am a Brand or I am an Agency. Agencies are asked for an agency name and website first, then the client details.
Then fill in:
- Brand name. The name people know you by.
- Website URL. Orchly reads this to learn about you and suggest the rest.
- Sitemap URL. Optional, but adding it helps Orchly discover all your pages faster.
- Primary Market. The country you mainly sell in.
- Primary Language. The language your content is in.
When you continue, Orchly creates your workspace and starts analyzing your site in the background.
Step 2: How you found us
A quick one-question screen asking how you heard about Orchly. Pick the closest option and continue. It only helps us understand where people discover the product.
Step 3: Choose topics and prompts to track
This is the important one. Orchly analyzes your website and suggests up to three topics, each with a set of prompts. Prompts are the real questions buyers ask AI engines, like “best tool for tracking AI rankings.”
- Review the suggested topics and prompts.
- Select the prompts you want to track. You need at least one to continue.
- Add your own topics or prompts if something is missing.
Start with the questions a buyer asks right before choosing a tool. Those are the prompts where being visible matters most. You can always add more later. See how to track AI visibility.
Step 4: Choose your competitors
Orchly suggests competitors it found while analyzing your site. Select the ones you actually compete with so it can benchmark your visibility against them. This step is optional, and you can edit the list anytime from your brand profile.
Step 5: Connect Google Search Console
Next, Orchly offers to connect Google Search Console so it can pull your organic clicks, impressions, and rankings. This step is optional and has a Skip link if you would rather do it later.
Connecting now is worth it because your organic dashboard fills in right away. The full walkthrough is in connect Google Search Console.
Step 6: Start your free trial
The last step shows the plans (Essential, Pro, and Business) with a monthly or yearly toggle. Pick the plan that fits, and your free trial begins. That completes onboarding and drops you into your workspace.
Your workspace is live and tracking has started. AI engines refresh on their own schedule, so your first visibility numbers fill in over the following hours and days.
What to do next
Onboarding covers the essentials. These guides take you the rest of the way:
- Set up your brand profile so agents write in your voice.
- Connect Google Analytics 4 to add traffic and conversions.
- Track your AI visibility once data arrives.
- Invite your team so others can join the workspace.
