How to connect Sanity to Orchly
Connect Sanity with a project ID, dataset, and API token so Orchly agents can publish documents to your Sanity content lake.
Connecting Sanity lets Orchly agents publish documents straight into your Sanity content lake, so generated content lands in the same dataset your site reads from.
You’ll set it up under Settings → Integrations, on the Sanity card.
Connect Sanity
Sanity connects with three details from your project:
- In sanity.io/manage, open your project and go to the API settings.
- Note your Project ID and the Dataset you publish to (often
production). - Create an API Token with write (Editor) permissions and copy it.
- In Orchly, click Configure on the Sanity card and enter the Project ID, Dataset, and API Token.
Once saved, the Sanity card shows Connected, and its menu lets you reconnect or disconnect.
A read-only token can’t publish. When you create the API token in Sanity, give it Editor or write permissions so Orchly can create and update documents.
What it unlocks
An agent with the publish ability can now create or update documents in your Sanity dataset. Because Sanity content is structured, make sure the document type you publish to has fields for the content you’re sending. See publish agent output.
An agent publishing to Sanity creates real documents in your content lake. Until you trust it, point it at Documents for review first.
