How to add and manage competitors in Orchly
Add the competitors you care about so Orchly can benchmark your AI and search visibility against them.
Half of visibility is knowing where you stand against the brands you compete with. Once you tell Orchly who your competitors are, they show up everywhere it matters: the AI visibility leaderboard, the competitor heatmap, the shopping leaderboard, and your reports.
You’ll find them under Content & Action → Brand Knowledge, on the Competitors tab.
Add your competitors
Orchly suggests competitors during onboarding by analyzing your site, so you usually start with a list already in place. On the Competitors tab you can add the ones it missed and remove any that don’t really compete with you.
Add a competitor by name, and Orchly tracks it across the platform from then on.
Track the three to five competitors you genuinely go head to head with, not every company in your space. A focused list makes the leaderboard and heatmap meaningful instead of crowded.
Where competitors show up
Adding a competitor here feeds several views automatically:
- The AI visibility leaderboard and overview, ranking you against them.
- The competitor heatmap, comparing visibility per AI engine.
- The shopping leaderboard, for product visibility.
- Your shareable reports.
Keep the list current
Revisit your competitor list every quarter. Markets shift, new players appear, and an old rival might not matter anymore. A current list keeps every comparison in Orchly honest.
Competitors here power your AI and shopping comparisons. If you also want to split your own branded search traffic from non-branded, that’s a separate setting. See branded vs non-branded keywords.
